Imagine a tube. Film rolls off a spool, wraps around that tube, and seals into a cylinder. Product drops through the middle. Then seal bars pinch the bottom and top at the same time.

Three steps, all vertical:

  1. Form — flat film gets pulled over a forming collar, becomes a tube
  2. Fill — product drops through the tube from a weigher or auger
  3. Seal — bars crimp the top of one bag and the bottom of the next. At the same time

Everything moves down. Product, film, the whole deal.

How a Horizontal Machine Works (The Conveyor Wrap)

This one’s a different animal. Products ride a conveyor like passengers on a bus. Film wraps around them as they go.

  1. Film feed — roll unwinds, forms a tube around the product
  2. Product infeed — items get placed on a conveyor, carried into the film tube
  3. End sealing — rotary sealors close the film at both ends

Let’s get real about speed. The numbers tell one story. Reality tells another.

Speed isn’t just about the machine. It’s about your product.

VFFS flies with free-flowing granules. Sticky powders? You’ll be waiting. Horizontal screams with uniform biscuits. Odd shapes? Slows way down.
